|evolution of the faux-hawk|

from his very first faux-hawk in february, to his most recent on friday :) his hair has grown A LOT. when it is not in a faux-hawk, i find myself constantly pushing his hair over to the side, where it naturally parts. because otherwise...he has bangs!

|water baby|

emerick has always been a bath baby. he gets super excited when we walk into his bathroom, and the excitement multiplies when i turn the bath water on. he can hardly contain himself! he squeels and wiggles, and kicks his legs a mile a minute. so, we figured he would love the swimming pool just as much. we have taken him to the pool in our neighborhood several times, but the water is so cold! He hates it. Once he has been in for a few minutes, he is good for a few smiles but it is nothing like the excitement of bath time.





this pool on the other hand, full of warm water...is more like it!

|big boy|

for the past two weeks emerick has slept in his own room, in his real crib. no more sleeping in the pack-n-play next to our bed. :( it's just another reminder of how fast time flies. i savor every moment of his baby-hood, and i don't take an moment with him for granted :)

|Go O's!|

A couple of weeks ago we took Emerick to his first major league baseball game, to Camden Yards to see the Baltimore Orioles play. It was a family event, Emerick spent the evening with both of his Grandpas, Auntie Sam, Aunt Jessie, Uncle Aaron, Grace & Aaron, Tristan, Mom Mom Debbie, and more family and friends. We had cool seats, I had never been to a game where I was not sitting in the nose bleeds. Despite the fact that Emerick was teething really bad, the game going well past his bedtime, the smoldering heat, and being totally frightened when the crowd yelled "CHARGE!" I think he managed to have a really good time, and so did we!

At 9 months old Emerick is wearing 12 month clothes, size 2 shoes, & size 3 diapers. He lovves food, and will eat just about anything! He crawls like a pro, and has started pulling himself up (no walking tho!) And he just learned how to wave, which is super cute, but my favorite thing is when you say "dance" and he boogies! :)

|new bath chair|

Emerick has his first fever, and he does not feel well :( I am pretty sure it is just teething. It didn't stop him from enjoying his new bath chair tonight!

i have been so bad about blogging lately :( i need to play catch up one of these days, and then try to stay caught up. Soon I will post lots of pictures, but for now here is one of Emerick and his cousin Dean who is exactly 4 weeks younger than E. Dean was here this past week from CA for a visit.

hands down, emerick's favorite snack is puffs. he just can't seem to get them into his mouth! he picks them up with his fingers, puts them at his mouth, but doesn't understand that you need to let go of the puff to eat it! but, sometimes he manages to let go of the puff, just in the wrong place. :)
