Facing Forward

Emerick no longer stares at the back of the seat while we are in the car!

He has not been a fan of car rides lately, so we decided that it was time to flip the car seat around. He is loving the new perspective, and the best part...he can see wheels as the trucks
pass by!

Bead Head

This is what happens to Emerick every night when he sleeps. He has an extreme case of bed head!

a snapshot of his chubby fingers, cause they're sooo cute!

Baby Number 2

This past weekened James, Emerick and I spent the day in an adorable little town in Virginia called Alexandria. We had our family photos taken, ate dinner, and just spent time together. There was a Christmas Store that didn't have isles big enough for Emerick's stroller, so I stayed outside while James went in to pick out an ornament for us. This is what he bought.

This is what he said

"Did you notice how many little snowmen there are?"

Yep, I noticed. Three!

James is really set on having 3 kids, but I think 2 is a more reasonable number. I do not know how many we will have, but to answer the question that I have started to receive quite often lately "When are you having baby number 2?"

Not anytime soon!

tantrums

The tantrums have begun. Actually, they began about a month and a half ago. I have tried to get a really crazy one on video, but I have yet to succeed. This is a rather small tantrum, but you get the point. He was mad at me for not letting him play with the laptop. Before I hit record he threw his head back, and fell onto his head and back on the floor.

Goodbye Fall

There are still 37 days left of fall, but it sure is starting to feel and look more like winter out there. We have enjoyed your company, see you next year.

Shutterfly Book

I started this Shutterfly book for Emerick when he was one month old, and I had completely forgotten about it until a few months ago. I started working on it again, and then after his first birthday I had it printed. I am really impressed with how it turned out, I didn't expect Shutterfly to bind such a nice book. It is a much easier and a modern alternative to a traditional scrapbook. I just wanted to share it with everyone and also recommend it to all of you Mommies out there. :-)
Emerick's book has a spread for each month, and highlights his growth and milestones, along with a pregnancy & birth spread.

no pictures please

I used to be able to plop emerick down in a field, and he would immediately give eye contact and massive smiles. That was then..

This is now..

He crawls away from me as fast as he can, and refuses to look at me. I give up!

thirteen months

Today Emerick is 13 months old! We woke up early and went on a casting call for a baby formula ad campaign. Wish Emerick luck! If he is chosen, you will most likely see his photo in magazines like 'People'. It would provide a nice start to a college savings fund as well.

Anywhoo, at 13 months Emerick is around 26 pounds, wearing size 18 month clothing, and size 4 shoes. He is starting to say words that we actually recognize, such as "shoe". He is constantly mimicking what those around him do, and my current favorite is when he puts both hands on his cheeks and says "achoo!" He is hilarious and has such an outgoing personality.
