I love that Emerick loves to read. As much as he loves to play with his cars and trucks all day long, I find him atleast a couple of times a day in the corner quietly looking through the pages of his books.

Slumber Party

Last night our neice and nephew stayed over with us for the first time. Emerick loved the company, and so did we :-)

The three played in the tub together, ate ice cream and pop corn, I braided Grace's hair so she could wake up with "princess curls", we had donuts for breakfast and then I took a couple of pictures of Grace this morning with her crimpy curls :-)

Today the temperatures were in the high 50s. I can't even tell you how warm that felt, after this long, cold winter! I took Emerick outside for more than 30 seconds, and for a bike ride....

National Aquarium

On Saturday we headed to Charm City to the National Aquarium and we brought along Uncle Matt and Papa! Emerick loved running around and putting his face up to the tanks to see the fish, turtles, and jellies. Strollers were not permitted inside the aquarium which made things very interesting. Emerick is not a fan of being carried, but he is at the age where he just takes off. We brought his monkey leash, and it helped a little....

Whenever we are at Grammy and Papa's house Emerick picks up this photo of Auntie Samantha, he loves to look at it. So we told him to give her a kiss, and he held the frame to his little face and gave a smooch. We tried to get a cute video, but it was really dark, but still so cute.

17 months

At 17 months old Emerick is 27 pounds & 31 1/4 inches. He is wearing size 24 months/2T clothes, (but still 18 month pants!) size 5 shoes, and size 5 or 6 diapers. He has 14 teeth. He slept in until 10:30AM last week, which I could definitely get used to! He is becoming more and more of a Daddy's boy lately. He asks for "Dada" many times during the day! He flirts with anyone and everyone, he is just a people lover. We can't go anywhere without constant comments about his personality, and how cute he is (or quite often how cute "she" is!) He is such a little love, and he gives lots of kisses and hugs.

When you ask him where his piggy toes are he points to them and says "tickle tickle tickle!"

Anytime he sees something round, an object or a picture, he says "ball!"

He just had his second bang trim, and the lady cut them crooked. Good thing they grow so fast!
