|blood drive in memory of baby brooklyn|

In January I photographed a beautiful baby girl named Aubrey. She and her twin sister Brooklyn were born micro preemies at just 29 weeks gestation. Brooklyn was born with a heart defect that required surgery, and sadly she passed away from complications at just 46 days old.

On Saturday December 6th from 10AM - 2PM in the Ralph Dunlap School parking lot in Santa Maria, KELLY will be hosting a blood drive in Brooklyn's memory. The goal is to get 46 volunteers, to represent each of the 46 days of Brooklyn's short life. I think if everyone can help spread the word, Kelly should have no problem passing that goal! If you don't live on the Central Coast, you can visit any blood bank, and donate in Brooklyn's memory. Please DONATE! If you choose to donate in Brooklyn's memory, please visit Kelly's blog and leave her a comment. You can visit the site Kelly has set up in memory of baby Brooklyn, by clicking on the 2 hearts "In Memory of Brooklyn" button on the right. Please also visit the blog Kelly has set up for baby Aubrey by clicking HERE.

Thanks Anni for getting the word out. I really appreciate it! We have had a huge out pouring of support and it truly brings a smile to my face. Baby Brooklyn is helping to save many lives here on the Central Coast. Her blood drive will help bring meaning to her short life.
